How to handle luggage when changing from International to Domestic Terminals at Brisbane Airport?

When I arrive at Brisbane International Airport it says on my travel itinerary that I need to collect my luggage and complete immigration formalities upon arrival. It then states that I then need to change from International to Domestic Terminals via shuttle bus, and that my suitcase needs to be re-checked with the Virgin staff.
Does this mean that I need to bring my suitcase with me on the shuttle bus and have it checked at the Domestic Terminal?

Thanks :)

Answer:
Yes. Even though you have a connecting flight it is totally separate from the international flight. When entering a country you have to collect your luggage and clear immigration and customs. After that book in to next flight or get a cab or make your way to next destination by whatever means. I wish I had realised this when flying from Vancouver to Hawaii via LA!!!!
