How to add more horsepower to a Pontiac?

in

I have a very simple and straight-forward question, I want to add horsepower to my 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Superchaged. It already comes stock with 240-hp, its fast already but I would love to boost it to at least 300-hp. But I myself know nothing really about cars and what to add to make them a little faster. I guess my question is, specifically what do I need to add to the car to get it to 300-hp. Thank you in advance!

Answer:
Geez. classic overthinking it. Here's whatcha do. Most guys I know with the supercharged 3800 start by putting a smaller pulley on the supercharger. The stock pulley is replaced with a pulley something like 3 inches in diameter. More extremely, the are pulleys under 3 inches, like 2.8. But you'll need to buy a alternator belt wrap kit to keep the belt tight, and turning all your accessories. This stuff is commonly available on sites like "3800 Performance", and places like that. Also, I've heard that methanol injection is really big with the guys that hype up the 3800. You can go broke making some of these upgrades. Start small with a pulley change. Then maybe some BRISK spark plugs and a low temp (180 degree) thermostat.

How to change map lights in a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix?

in

I want to switch my old map light bulbs to Red LEDs. I am not sure how to go about changing them, I do not know if just take off the plastic cover or if there is more.

Answer:
Take a flat head screw driver and just take out the cover and the bulb will be visible. Take out the bulb and put your new one in and your good to go. Hope this helps
