How to eyelashes curled after applying mascara?

in

Okay, so I have no problem curling my eyelashes and they stay curled for most of the day. However, once I apply mascara, it weighs them back down to their natural state (straight). I use washable mascara since I don't want to damage my eyelashes in order to wash off mascara.
Are there any secrets to applying mascara to keep eyelashes curled or is waterproof mascara my only hope?

Answer:
DONT heat your eyelash curler. If you want that to work you will be doing the same thing to your lashes as your hair, which damages them. If you don't want to curl them after mascara my best tip is: When you apply mascara after curling your lashes tilt your mirror or head up so your looking down. Now when you brush the wand through your eyelashes they will be guided upwards. This really works for me.

How to make eyes look bigger and brighter?

in

I have hazel eyes. And they aren't tiny but I want them to be bigger. Any suggestions on colors to make them brighter and bigger or tricks would be awesome.

Answer:
Taking a white eyeliner line your waterline (the little flap of skin between your lower eyelashes and your actual eye). Next pit it in the inner corner of your eye and blend it out. You can also place a but of white eyeliner or eyeshadow right under your eyebrow and a little bit on the outside if your eye. Now trace a black or brown thin line on just the outer half of your top lash line, the line should be fairly thin, I recommend a black liquid liner. Takea little bit of eyeliner and line only the outer third of tour lower lash line (on and under your lower lashes). Taking a sparkly gold/pale/cream colored cream or powder shadow or highlighter, trace your lower and upper lash line untill it meets the black. Curl your lashes and apply mascara top and bottom. This will open your eye and make them look bigger and brighter. And if you want to add a twist, you can exchange black mascara for purple, emerald green, or royal blue and that will also brighten your eyes! Good luck and have fun!

How to match my foundation to my skin tone?

in

I just started wearing foundation but Ilve notice that when I do wear it my face is lighter then my neck. I have tried to bring my foundation to my neck but it doesn't work. My neck is darker than my face. So should I get foundations that match my neck skin tone to match my face?

Answer:
i have the hardest time with this as well. my skins between pale and right under tan. anyway, i found that the the only makeup that really works is trueblend, the lightest color which is 405. its the foundation. all the others make my face sticky or are too dark for my face making my face pink, even the lighter color. then for one my skin is oily, and the foundation is either to dark or too light. so to try to make it even, i use the covergirl face powder. i put on the 210 classic ivory first and then i use either the 220 creamy natural or an ivory, because the classic ivory is a little to dark but all the other powders are not dark enough. so i put the lighter powder on top of the darker and use a big poofy makeup brush to mix the 2 powders together. and it just kinda all mixes together and matches to my neck. i hope i helped a little, i know how you feel, it can be very frustrating!!

How to get rid of the circles under my eyes?

in

Even though I get enough sleep my eyes always look very tired. Therefore I usually put concealer on. ( i have the maybelline kind). But sometimes not even that covers the circles under my eyes.
Any suggestions what i could do to get rid of those circles under my eyes?

Answer:
One suggestion is to put two spoons in a fridge for 15 minutes in the morning and then put the spoons over your eyes for one minute. Eating well is another factor. Chilled cucumber slices also work very well. Apply an eye cream containing vitamin K and retinol. Make sure that before you sleep you are relaxed. Hope it helps!

How to remember to clean my makeup brushes?

in

I know that is important to clean your makeup brushes but I always keep forgetting to clean mine. I think its because my makeup brushes take forever to dry and are never fully dry by the time I need to use them the next day. How often should I clean my makeup brushes, what should I clean them with and how can I remember to clean them? I have synthetic makeup brushes btw. Thanks!:)

Answer:
really suppose two clean them two times a week but alot of people get lazy get like a note book paper and right it down every two weeks you should wask your brushes or every once a week if you get lazy is good. you can wash them with olive oil and anti bactria soap put it on a plate mix it together wash them like that then rub it on your hands so much make up will come off and then rise it off lightly with coolish water you may have two wash them 2 or 3 times but that works and its cheapper then geting the mac ones and sephora ones.

How to apply liquid eyeliner correctly? How to do eyeshadow while wearing liquid eye liner? How to do cat eye?

in

I just recently started using liquid eyeliner. What are tips techniques to apply it to where both sides are even? I see people wearing eye shadow while they wear liquid eye liner. What are steps and techniques to doing that? How do I do a cat eye? The wings never equal up.

Answer:
Do your eye shadow first, then you make a thin line all across your eye, when you get to the end make a line flicking upwards from where your lower waterline ends, follow your natural curve. This will give a more natural shape to your eyeliner. The longer you make the connecting line, the more dramatic your cat eye will be. Then I always like to set my liner with an eye shadow for longer wear. :) I also enjoy felt tip applicators, they're easier to work with in my opinion.

How to hide dark acne scars with makeup?

in

I have medium brown skin and bad acne that left dark scars on my face. I want to start using makeup to cover it but if I only put foundation on the scars still show through. So what can I do to cover them better? Thanks!
I am looking for makeup tips please. I am already doing many things to help them fade, but in the meantime I would like a way to cover them up.

Answer:
I feel your pain, I have the same issue. What works perfectly for me: use a face primer like Revlon Photo Ready Color Correcting Primer over your entire face to hold the makeup in place (I swear by it, particularly if you have oily skin). Then apply foundation as you would normally, and ensure it's dry before doing the following. Use a concealer slightly lighter than your skin tone and dab a small amount on each blemish; blend well before it dries. My absolute favorite concealer is Hard Candy Glamoflauge (Walmart and Walmart.com) because it comes with a pencil and a thick liquid. It can even hide tattoos! Lastly, apply face powder for a matte finish and to help hold the makeup in place better, concentrating on areas where the scars are the worst. You can also try using a topical medication that fades scars, but I have no experience with any and thus no idea how well they work. Hope this helps :)
