How to get rid of dandruff on color treated hair?

in

I have really bad dandruff and I have dyed red hair and I need to get rid of it. And I don't want my color to fade. Any help? Thanks.

Answer:
1. Make sure you get all the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair when washing it. if you quickly rinse it you may not be getting all the products out of your hair. 2. try using anti dandruff shampoo. 3. don't use loads of hair products weather your in the shower or doing your hair for the day, hairspray is very bad for causing dandruff. 4. wash hair often but not everyday, leaving hair unwashed for long periods of time can cause dandruff. 5. GOOGLE ways of getting rid of it. also if you dont want your hair to fade use a color treated shampoo the use the dandruff conditioner after. good luck!

How to keep pressed hair from becoming frizzy?

in

My hair is very thick and all natural and I get it pressed, but I rarely get to wear it down straight because it frizzes up especially in the summer time. Does anyone know any hair lotions that can help with this. Someone else does my hair so I really can't use an anti frizz shampoo since I don't wash my own hair. Any suggestions?

Answer:
I know exactly what you mean, go to a beauty supply and buy hair protectant it protects your hair from heat and helps the frizziness or you can go to a dollar store.. but yeah it works for me

How to make thick hair thin without thinning shears?

in

I have thick, wavy hair.
I'd love for it to be thinner, and I've asked the lady who cuts my hair if she could use thinning shears twice but she objected both times saying that it wouldn't turn out well on my type of hair, but I really really want my hair to be thinner.
Is there any possible way to make my hair thin without using thinning shears.
Thanks.

Answer:
Too much of hair can be difficult to manage and style. However, there are many ways to make your thick hair thinner and more manageable. While you are thinning your hair you can also consider getting a good haircut. But, if you don't wish to cut your hair or can't go to a salon, then there are many ways and products which you can use at home conveniently. Thinning shears are the most common way of removing bulk from the hair. However, there are many other ways to thin out hair without thinning scissors. How to get rid of split ends without cutting my hair?

in

I can't cut or trim my hair because its against my religion (Sikh) and I have so many split ends!! What should I do to get rid of my split ends?

Answer:
Use your Kanga to remove the frizzled ends, and then use a product called Moroccan Oil. I am going through this right now, being a white Sikh convert and having to now grow my hair out. My hair is naturally very curly / frizzy so I have to flat iron it every time I wash it, in order to get it straight again. I started to get very brittle ends from the flat ironing, so I started using Moroccan Oil... and I use a LOT of it! Probably 3 x as much as the bottle says to!! The hairs soak it up... make sure to use it on the ends mostly. Also Brazillian Keratin treatment works wonders too and lasts a month!

How to get my hair to grow faster?

in

Pretty much, my hairdresser doesn't know the difference between one and three inches. So I pretty much just want it longer than it is now, since its so short (a little longer than shoulder). Any ways I can get it to grow faster? Natural stuff, I'm not taking meds or anything.

Answer:
Here are some good tips to help your hair grow longer and faster: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttNXO22Vf88&feature=plcp http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDz5gc6sFME&feature=youtu.be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6QO5SitD6c&feature=related Also.. 1-No shampoo in the world can make your hair grow faster and any that claims to do so is false, however you can buy a Sulphate free shampoo which is better for your hair! 2- Wash your hair every other day or if you can get away with it, every third day. 3-Taking a multi vitamin helps a lot. Biotin and Hair and Nail tablets etc.. 4-If you want your hair to grow out then get the ends dusted every three months not more than an 1/2 an inch. Most people will say trim it every 4-6 weeks. That’s only good if you’re trying to maintain the length you've already got or like maintaining bangs or layers. If you trim it that much it will never grow. Coconut oil is good too because it softens hair, Indian women keep their hair long and silky with a once and week massage using it. 5- When you put in shampoo don't mess up your hair so much just work it in gently then rinse and apply conditioner. Put most of the conditioner on your ends and the rest on the top so your hair doesn't get greasy. Rinse the conditioner out with the coldest water you can stand it seals the cuticles in your hair and makes your hair sleek. 6- Consider buying a boar bristle brush with nylon bristles as well. It really helps and don't over brush your hair! You only need about 20 strokes a day. If you blow dry your hair blows dry it on the medium high setting not the highest. When your hair is dry, blow the cool setting over your hair and use the boar bristle/nylon bristle brush and smooth your hair. It makes a difference trust me. Hope this helped! (PM me if you would like to know some more)! :)

How to make semi permanent hair dye fade faster?

in

I dyed my hair last august with a poppy red. My hair was blonde before I dyed it. I stopped dying it about a month ago but it's faded pink now but not faded enough to dye it completely blonde again and I've roots so :L. Anyone know ways to make it fade quickly?

Answer:
Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo, or with a dandruff shampoo. It will help strip your hair much quicker. However, red dye is notorious for staining blonde hair, no matter how long you have it on your head.
