How to turn off the Auto headlights in a 2011 Dodge Charger?

in

Is there Anyway to turn off the auto headlights that come on when the car is turned on? I move the switch from 'Auto' to the plain thin Circle and they stay on. I don't really need them on during the day,

Answer:
Yes. It is a different process for different trim levels and electronics package options. SHOULD be covered in your owners booklet. If not, your dealer/mechanic can likely help you unless prohibited by law. A couple things to think about first. Disabling the running lights may be an equipment violation in your state. If you receive an insurance reduction for having daytime running lights, it is insurance fraud to disable them. This makes it a felony in most states...TELL your insurance company you have disabled them, it is well worth the $5-10 bucks a month to stay out of jail! Running lights are a proven safety devise. It has nothing to do with you seeing better, it helps others see you when they otherwise might not have.
