How to get good enough credit to be accepted for a Business Loan?

in

I want to get a business loan. Whats the best avenues to do so

Answer:
Many people have gotten their first loan at prosper.com or lendingclub.com. No matter where you apply, you will need to have established a record of good credit to get a reasonable rate. Having a job with verified income, W2 slips for the last 3 months or tax returns for the last 3 or more years to prove that you have income. If you are applying at a more conventional lender like a bank, you'll probably need a well written business plan. The plan details how you will spend the money, how the business investment will be used, the background and specifics of your business venture. Whatever you put on your loan application should be absolutely the truth and verifiable with documents.

How to use an international debit card to shop online in the UK?

in

I've learned that sort code is needed in order to make purchases online in the UK. However, I got an international visa debit card (and of course, without sort code). Does it mean that only UK cards can be use to shop online in the UK or are there any ways to do it with an international visa/master card?
Thanks so much for helping me.

Answer:
You can't use it as a debit card to make purchases online. You can put your international card into a bank machine/ATM in the UK and withdraw money, but not buy online. But since your card is a VISA debit card, you should be able to use it as if it were any other credit card and complete your transaction as you would normally with any other credit card.

How to get credit card cycle to start on 1st?

in

Every month I have to print out 2 month's statements to organize my expenses. Since the statements show half of one month and half of another month, I have to print out 2 months statements just to organize for 1 month.

Is there any 1099 folks out there who have figured out a solution for this issue? I called the credit card company and the earliest they can start the cycle is on the 3rd, which I still have to print 2 months' statements.

Answer:
Use Quicken and download your statements. Then you can sort, total, subtotal any which way you want to see it.

How to get student credit card with no credit?

in

I am going into collage in about two weeks and I applied for two credit cards in the past few weeks and both were denied due to lack of credit. I have never had a credit card before, I have had the same job for the past 3 years and I have a savings account. How do I go about getting a credit card now? I will be 600 miles from home and there are not any major banks near the school.

Answer:
Contrary to what a lot of people think (and will tell you on here), student credit cards can be quite easy to get IF you're a college student. If you're a college student, the laws are entirely different for you. You don't need a co-signer even if you're under 21 and you don't need to make much money. Basically, you have to be able to make the minimum payment. It does help to have a part time job and a savings account also (not just a checking account). I would make sure that you're registered for school (so that they'll verify you're a student there if necessary). Then, I would suggest applying for a student Discover card. My daughter has a student Discover card and loves it. If you use her referral link here: https://www.discovercard.com/cardmembersvcs/acqs/app/getapp?sc=RHZD&iq_id=yraf_1024246813_fb_15_883637, you'll get $50 cashback bonus when you make your first purchase and you'll get cashback bonuses for everything that you purchase. There is 9 months worth of free interest, but it's really best to get in the habit immediately of paying in full each month. There's no annual fee and the APR (annual percentage rate) is fairly good. It ranges from 12.99 to 19.99%. But, it really doesn't matter how much the APR is if you pay your balance in full each month. As long as you pay in full, you'll never pay interest. If you use a credit card wisely, it can be a great tool. But, you can also ruin your credit, so whichever card you end up getting, just be certain to use it the right way. Use it for convenience (paying at the pump, making reservations online, etc.) and to build credit. Don't use it to buy something that you can't afford. Use it at least once a month for something that you need to buy anyway (gas, food, etc.). Set that money aside immediately so that you have the full amount when the statement arrives. Pay in full, but don't pay before the statement prints. If you pay before your cycle closes, then “zero” is going to be reported to the credit bureau as your usage, which won't help your credit score at all. Keep your utilization at, or below, 30% of your available credit to develop the best credit score. In other words, if you have a $500 limit on your card, you shouldn't have more than $150 in use when your cycle closes. Just don't let temptation to get to you!! It's too easy to spend money that you don't have. Be smart, and a credit card can be a wonderful tool, both to help build credit and for convenience. ADDITIONAL NOTE: Sometimes the Discover link that I gave doesn't open correctly in Firefox. If it doesn't say anything about the $50 bonus, then try opening in a different browser. The link that first opens should be for a student card. However; if a non-student wants to get this same deal, it will convert to regular as soon as you list something other than “student”. Just make sure that you're seeing the reference to getting your $50 bonus.

How to purchase things online without a credit card?

in

Specifically, I want to buy Minecraft for the computer. My parents refuse to put their credit cards (in exchange for my cash) in for reasons unknown to me, so I was wondering if there was a way I could buy it myself.

I've heard of paypal accounts and things like that, but I'm not entirely sure as to how they work, or how exactly I would get my money into that account. Is there a way I can link my bank savings account to the internet to where I can spend it freely? Thank you!

Answer:
you can use a prepaid visa card... thats how i pay for things online :)

How to use a secured credit card to build credit?

in

Getting a secured credit card for my husband to help build his credit. Minimum amount allowed to open is $300. I've heard that you should only use about 10 to 15% of your credit limit in order to help your credit score improve. Is that true? What if he spends his full $300 limit but pays on time or early every month. Will that still help, or hinder his credit score? I'm new to all of this so any help is greatly appreciated!

Answer:
You want to normally keep your utilization below 30%, but if you are good with your finances you can go well above that and be ok, although normally creditors won't care if you pay it off in full every month - they begin to worry if you carry a high balance for months at a time, at that point you are deemed "a risk" I went up to 90% utilization on my cards before but once the statement cuts I just pay it off in full. But the most important part is that you want to get your utilization under 10% when you apply for another credit card, car loan or mortgage loan. But if you want to be absolutely safe, you should always follow these rules: 1) keep your utilization below 30% at all times 2) pay off your credit card in full once you receive the statement 3) set up auto pay through the credit card's website if they have that feature 4) utilize your card every month

How to get more money to spend on credit?

in

I already have a credit card with my bank wells fargo, im paying what i owe above the minimum payment and on time. however, i want more money to spend, what company should i try ?
i have a good paying job!

Answer:
You can ask them for a credit limit increase. If your credit rating is good and you have solid income and a steady job, they will probably raise it. Don't forget, that it's easy to spend, but hard to pay back. Don't go in above your head otherwise you'll end up in trouble.

How to make money online? And put it in your bank account if you have maestro card?

in

Hi, I'm 15 year old teenager and I just open my own bank account. And I was wondering, if its possible me to earn money online? I have saw lot of examples like making a website, selling stuff on ebay or making money online. I just want to know whats best for 15 year old ones and which variant would work the best?

Answer:
Wow! You seem to posses a lot of 'entrepreneurship' spirit in you and I commend you for that. Back when I was around your age, I also considered selling online as well. As far as I am aware of, you currently can not sell any products online in Ebay or Amazon as of yet because you have to be at least 18 to get into the online business. But what about getting your parents involved in this activity by asking them to open an account for you? You could then open your own Ecommerce site. To make it even easier to start an e-commerce site, you can try an e-commerce software that could easily jump start your website and get it up and running. I have also just started engaging in e-commerce and it is working great for me (so far). I'm currently using an e-commerce software from http://www.izzonet.com/ . Try to browse through their free templates area to see if any of their designs are a good fit for you.
